Deadpool, Meet Cable Teaser Released

We’re just over three months away from Deadpool 2 and we’ve still yet to receive an official trailer for the film. Oddly enough, the film’s release was even pushed forward two weeks. Despite no official trailer, there have been a handful of extremely entertaining teasers and, today, another one dropped. The new teaser, entitled Deadpool, Meet Cable, introduces the Merc with a Mouth’s sidekick and, again, is entertaining as can be.

The teaser begins with Cable (Josh Brolin) explaining his origin and is your typical brooding anti-hero type of speech. Of course, Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) interjects upon seeing the scene’s visual effects haven’t been completed yet. From here, Deadpool spoofs Toy Story before showing some real action from the film.

It never ceases to amaze how witty the comedy from Reynolds and company can be. It never feels overdone or excessive. The addition of Cable into this film should provide countless opportunities for more banter between characters. It’ll be interesting to see how some of the characters interact such as Cable and Colossus (Stefan Kapicic). At this point, no one has any idea what Deadpool 2 will actually be about as even the plot synopsis on IMDB.com is intentionally fake. If 20th Century Fox plays their cards right, this could be the rare case where audiences go into the film completely blind to the story. If they can pull that off, kudos to them.

Deadpool 2 is set for release on May 18th. Check out the new Deadpool, Meet Cable teaser below.
