Star Wars: The Last Jedi Teaser Released

After the massive success of 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, fans have wondered what the sequel would be like. The film left us some massive cliffhangers and it’s obvious that things are heating up in the galaxy far, far away. Today, the first glimpse of Star Wars: The Last Jedi has arrived.

*First things first, if you haven’t seen The Force Awakens, shame on you and stop reading now. Spoilers ahead.*

The eighth installment of the beloved Star Wars saga has the opportunity to be The Empire Strikes Back of its own trilogy. Following the reintroduction and subsequent death of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) in The Force Awakens, there’s definitely a hint of tragedy that should surround The Last JediEmpire has always been known as the darker sequel of the franchise and this new film looks as if it could go the same route.

At the end of the previous film, Rey (Daisy Ridley) finds Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) before cutting to the credits. In this first teaser for The Last Jedi, we get to hear Hamill’s Skywalker speak of the Force for the first time in 34 years while he appears to be training Rey on the island where the last film left off. In this instance, Luke basically takes on the role of Yoda to train Rey. From there, we get brief shots of Finn (John Boyega), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), BB-8, and the villainous Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). The words “teaser” have never been truer as this trailer does just that. There’s no question that this is easily one of, if not the, most anticipated films of the year. Also, it never gets old seeing the Millenium Falcon soaring through the air.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set for release on December 15th. Check out the teaser and comment below.
